The conflict that demolished Syria was a result of many interconnected factors. While the apparent reason was its regime change, climate change also played an important part in bringing Syria to war. Mainly associated with climate variability and deficiency of fresh water. From 2006 to 2011, Syria faced one of the worst droughts in its history which forced people of rural areas to migrate to the urban centers of Syria which created a scarcity of resources and became a factor of the hostility. 3-1Thus has been suggested by many important figures of the world such as Prince Charles, US President Barack Obama, Al Gore, Martin O’Malley and much more. This is what could happen if people of the world don’t realize the significance of protecting their environment and not wasting the resources they have especially water.
